hi guys, i was having a bit of a think and suddenly i thought hmm wonder how many times all the other plumbers have heard a customer say

"Well it was fine until you touched it"

in 12 months i have probably heard it about 10 times, lol.

since you fitted a new washer in that tap the reception on the TV has been terrible, must have been something you did😱 typical

Can honestly say, nobody has said that to me before 😛😉
That's way I do not like servicing old boilers because of above or people get you in if there is a problem but do not say ,just ask for a service to be done, you do it then they ring up and say hot water is still not working all the time ect,you mention they never said anything and they reply, well thought would have been sorted during service and expect you to go back for nothing to find fault
Out of every 10 calls I get to do a service 8 are above and the other two are requested to keep cover valid for new boiler,as soon as anyone asks for a boiler service ,I just ask whats the problem with the boiler/system

Your so cynical puddle😀

Anyone who rings me and asks for an immediate service of their boiler gets put in the diary for 2 weeks time, this normally results in the response "cant you do it sooner as so and so isnt working" which immediately results in a call out charge!!, which is inflated to cover their cheek.
Ive also learnt never to start a service at 2oclock on a friday afternoon, especially on a ferrolli which invariably falls apart in your hands, ie the venturi on the fan disintigrates as you take the fan out to try and blow all the sh*t off the blades. this results in a tense drive to parts center to pick up the bits from behind the dustbin by their front door as they have all gone home and traffic has stopped you getting there before closing time aaaagh. Still the customer did mention that the boiler hadnt worked properly for some time despite what they said on my arrival, and suddenly the £8-00 venturi went up in price to cover all the stress I had just endured.

when someone rings and asks for a service the first thing i ask is "is it working ok "they usually say yes but the hot waters not hot thats when i tell them it needs more than just a service

i normally charge people £30 for ringing me to ask for a service. sorted.............

Before I was on this forum I thought that things like that only happened to me.
