We provide a service to drill holes into baths. And we are also asked to provide the equipment.

If anyone wants to drill a hole in a bath - please contact us:

First way is "Do It for yourself..." We provide a neat little kit

http://www.*********.com/jpgs/bath_drills.jpg

It contains a diamond core drill to grind away the bath enamel.

And then a very VERY sharp holesaw to rip through the bath metal.
Works on rolled steel baths. Works on CAST IRON baths.

So we can start with this: (Above is a rolled steel bath)

And we end up with this: A bath with a hole in it !

We have done all sorts of work for top end clients drilling baths.
To include (but not limited to) The English Heritage Trust: And even a certain palace in London.

We are called to sites all over the UK. This is mostly when the bath is so rare and expensive the
installers dont want to risk it. So we provide the service.

If you want to do it yourself all you need to do is call us and we can match the right size drills.
We are making a set which includes everything needed.

could be quite useful to some of the guys at ukpf Richard .....regards Turnpin:punk:

Cheers yes, we get called out A LOT to do this job. Mostly in London.
But giving people access to the right equipment is key to half of it.

The most common size going to be the 35mm bimetal holesaw combined with a 40mm diamond core. (or a 38mm if you want to get tight).

We can cover some of the country but any request further north we decline. We get about 5 calls a week to come out and do it.

Im boring cast quite often and im always knackering my holesaws, ive a lennox set just now and they are withstanding what im putting them through , although theyre not made for cast

Me thinks deffo a case of My right or your right? and measure twice cut once. Like the look of the product though.

I may still buy one as im addicted to buying tools and i like to have any tool thats gonna make mty life easier , so as you can guess my vans loaded with i might need that tools, if i were a tiler id prob already have one as looks really crackin set

Squirt threading fluid on em and the lennox will last ages mate. Even drilling through rsj's.

Try using paraffin as a lubricant.

Tell you what Buckley Plumb you are not wrong!

We do use Starret (Or at least we DID use them) Here's a pic

Our first bath drilling attempts with a Starret

But we now supply an even better (in our opinion) product for the job.

This nasty looking drill is fantastic for the job. We supply it as a one piece. Its fully assembled. It has its own pilot drill. And its own case.

And most important we have a FULL RANGE of sizes so you can custom your hole size.
The most common is 35mm Bimetal / 38mm Diamond

In fact we dont even bother getting the Starret out now. We much prefer these squat little cutters.
They rip through metal and the best thing is they have a short barrel so you get right onto the bath panel.

We also prefer to drill UNDER the bath and to meet half way in the middle

Two new holes now exists! (Where none existed before...)
The overflow WAS there before. Not the tap holes.
