how to test gas grill?

Hi Guys,

Asked a question about safety check on gas ovens yesterday and I believe I understand it now. But I think I have not ever read anything about the grills. However there are quite a lot of gas grills around. How to check the grills? I have a grill in my house and looks there is no safety devices, so no need to check?

Possibly because they're usually attended whilst in use?

Plus even a small escape in an oven can quickly become an explosive atmosphere, so much more important in a closed oven, than an open room. Although anything without a safety device is a hell of a lot more dangerous that one with!

seems daft doesnt it! i think all gas should have a flame failure device, i suppose we have never really had many problems and as we are reactive until somebody dies we will continue as we are.

ovens and grills have quite old safety devices otr non at all, i guess it coz the useage is short dureation as opposed to a boiler or water heater when they can run for some time

if you can get to he injector put your u gauge tube over it and turn on and will give you m/bar reading then read the MI's or just do a gas rate
