How to turn water off

Hi all new here what it is I want to replace some taps even new radiators and just wondering how I shut the water off on a combi boiler many thanks

Mains water off and aslong as you don't fill the system just drain the heating down, but make sure you turn the boiler off first

Hot and cold taps on your baths, sink, basins will be the mains stopcock, which might be under your kitchen sink or somewhere handy hopefully.
The radiators are part of the heating system and are a sealed system on Combis. If altering heating pipework you will need to either drain the heating or you can have pressure dropped and work with pipes with water in them if replacing a radiator valve for example.
But as you are asking such a basic question, I would advise you just get a plumber to do the work

Took me a minute to figure out you must have meant the photo!

No, it is a Churchill tank, - WW2 heavy armoured tank. It was also the basis of other specialist vehicles. That one is sitting outdoors on display st Carrickfergus here, (a town just north of Belfast). They were developed I think and built by shipyard Harland and Wolf in that area and also at Belfast. Apparently the best WW2 British tank and best armoured.

I actually took that photo on iPhone, so could have been better quality image I guess.
I read those Churchill Tanks were used going into Italy in WW2 and also put a Tiger Tank out of action early in the war in North Africa with a lucky hit with a shell jamming the Tigers turret. (That actual Tiger tank was captured and was studied and repaired and in a museum as a rare example.)

It's a cracking picture, I read an article on the captured tiger. Was very interesting. My uncle got an MC in Africa.

I think I recall that it was a special desert version of the Tiger Tank and now unique as none now exist.
Big respect of your uncle. He must have earned it!

Tiger would have had adapted air filter to cope with the sand.

Yes, those people were put into a very difficult situation.
I knew a very nice gentleman who said very little to me of his war experience, except he told me so many men died.
I discovered he was one of the first to land as an engineer the night before D - Day and his was an incredible story.
If you haven't read about Blair Mayne, the SAS Colonel, do so. He came from Newtownards here, was a Rugby international, a Lawyer and was a founding member of the SAS.

Isolate the electrical supply to the boiler , turn off your mains cold water stopcock you can then drain yor heating down and your hot water from your combi and the cold water via your taps . cheers kop .

I generally rotate the "water off" to the off position, under the boiler!

A uncle of mine was in North Africa in WW2 one of the first to volunteer for the L.R.D.G another man who never talked about what happened in any great detail. My only claim was when I was a kid (about 7 or 8) going to another uncles passing out parade and meeting Monty himself.
