Went to a job last week and on arrival as always discussed the job with the client to
find out the history of the system, the client turned round and said that BG had
capped of the gas supply at the meter, he couldn't understand why.

Yes the wire for the outside light has been taken through the flue and then they
have drilled a hole in the casing to bring the wire through into the kitchen.

Dont know why they drilled a hole in the casing when they could have brought it
through where there was no inspection glass, signs of spillage evident.

Pipe leading to the gas valve completely rusted.

I put a drop test on the system and surprise surprise dropped like a lead balloon! No
i dont know why they capped the gas.

I surprised BG noticed all of them faults

That boiler is in a terrible state of disrepair I would have turned it off in a heartbeat

without the light fitted it would have been hard to do a visual inspection on the flue in the dark, nice when a customer is thoughtfull and plans ahead for the service engineer :( LOL
