Well I am having a horrible week!
On Monday everything went fine

Tuesday got called out to a no htg/hw went out low pressure topped up and tested all seemed fine just about to leave "oh we heard some dripping in the airing cupboard" me thinking why couldn't you tell me when I was stood around for 20 minutes with the heating running but I go and have a look, prv leaking on invented quick press of schraeder no water came out so I think PRV shot so order one. (I know I should of tested the pressure but I will get back to that in a minute)

Wednesday I'm meant to be fitting an invented cylinder for my girlfriends parents but they are also having the bathroom fitted of which I'm doing the plumbing. So I get there and the carpenter who is doing everything else said can you just do the waste before you start, no worries started everything draining and went in there (I told her parents to have the shower tray on legs to save breaking up the concrete floor and said to get an 1800-1850 high screen and it will fit) well the carpenter said get this tray and screen which was 1950 high!!! He then said he will rip the floor up and if you can connect on to it, not a problem until I went in and the clay pipe was moving a lot! So up came the tarmac driveway to find the break or next joint. Got all that sorted and started on the cylinder at 3:00! So come 6:30 I've got to go so arrange to pop back Thursday afternoon to finish it.

Thursday morning went well until around 12 when my sons school phoned up saying he is ill and needs picking up, off I shoot to pick him up and cancel the oil boiler service I was heading to. Get him back home and I start making myself some sandwiches and he said "oh can I have one?" My reply was "I have just picked you up as you were feeling sick and now you want a sandwich? You little bstard your not ill at all. So me and your grandad have left work so you can skive!" So off I go after grandad got home and started on the cylinder at 2:00 and I finish at 8:45 absolutely shattered!

Today! Oh what a ducking start go out to fit the prv and think I will check the pressure in vessel, sweet FA so get the pump out an start pumping like mad! Not doing anything, so I turn the water back on full and hop up to check the schraeder valve and knock the pipe slightly boom!!!!!! The compression nut pops and mains pressure coming out, by the time I have it turned off water is peeing through the ceiling! So I mopped up and got everything as dry as possible and shot off to get a new vessel as it was indeed shot! So not only did I have to buy a part I can't charge for I also stayed there 2 hours longer than I should have!!!!! And all because I was rushing on Tuesday and was lazy!!!!!

I suppose that's karma teaching me to check things properly!

Oi! I'm tucked up in bed on a Sunday while the pious are on their knees.

My granddad, who often rattled off a fantastic phrase, always said that only evil people go to church.

What a load of crap luck.

Most agree the job is very up and down. But that's still probably preferably to a job at a constant preditable baseline of monotony.
