Hello all,

This is a call for assistance. I need to build ACS Gas portfolio of evidence and I'd be over the moon to hear from engineers willing to take on a shadow. I'm a wet plumber with my own business(liability) in the Calder Valley. Should anyone near to HX1 Calderdale, W.Yorkshire. feel that they could help me out. Please get in touch. Thanks Muchly, Sam.

why does nobody ever do these posts for London, i'd be well happy for someone to drive my van around while i read a book, then make them do my job while i drink tea and occasionally boss them over their shoulder and call it teaching them

Same as me I am willing to fulfil my portfolio too and try to find somebody to help me out I just need few more pict to finally do my final exam but nobody is willing to do it. It's a shame to be honest.

this was by far the hardest part for me, took 5 months to do portfolio, I have already got a list of people wanting help with there's when I get my card ( only a week to go ) are either of you near SS17 ????

Bit ungrateful there old boy! I took the time to find out exactly what the gaps are in your portfolio and said that I would help. I could have had you skivvying on boiler jobs but as you've already got that covered on your portfolio I gave you the respect not to treat you as free labour.

Not many people in London have gas fires any more but I told you I have one customer with 5 and when her service is due you'd be welcome to come along. That's above and beyond what most people would do.

Good on you for helping out Masood. You don't have a twin brother living in the Manchester or surrounding area do you ?

What are you on about I have called you many times and there was nothing like I have to wait. Still I do not have someone who is willing to help. I really don't get it about being ungreatful ... You didn't even tell me where to what to do anything I really don't know what you want buddy. I to,d you in the first place what I need gas cookers etc .. You didn't even come back to me to let me know. You said there would be an opportunity but nothing else. So what are you talking about ?

Check your texts Ronnie. I replied to your text saying I would be happy to take you along to this customer who has gas fires and a freestanding cooker. To then say that "nobody is willing to help" is pretty unappreciative.

I haven't yet told you when, because I haven't yet had time to check the service anniversary. I will do so at my convenience.

Yes, you called me about 8 times in one day, and when I ignored your calls because I was busy working, you texted me about 8 times wanting a job. That was never on offer, just help with your portfolio.

Sorry if that doesn't meet your expectations or approval.

ok.. For those of you who are vaguely interested. I've just spent a dull friday logging information taken from the wwwUser PlumbersForums.net Instead - Copy the content, don't link to it.. for the engineers in my postcodes. :book:
Today (and probably tomorrow too) I'll be systematically calling all on this list for engineers willing to take on a shadow. I've been pinging an email to them as well. Great results already, super helpful for getting your name out on the local network and not at all hyped on six cups of Joe...:willy_nilly:

Ok .. .for those of you who are still vaguely interested.. I spent a few hours yesterday meeting with an extremely knowledgeable (presuming ex-services-engineersman). Who has indicated that, although trying his best to retire, will permit me to initially work with him on a Viessman 222 commission. Brilliant. Good start. Today, I've called round a few more engineers to try and book myself up to that point and another engineer has straight given the thumbs up to me hitching a wagon to his green-deal train. So.. .i'll keep this thread running a little while longer and let you know how it goes.

Great results. No.1. Viessmann engineer has given some great guidance on the 222-F he installed. Also helped to fill in another job sheet by; tighness testing, isolating, decommissioning old baxi and finishing the amendments to the gas supply before the engineer commissioned the Veismann. So in effect a decommission for my portfolio, and experience of commissioning the top end of the range.
No.2 Green deal engineer, most amiable chap, guided me through a Baxi Duo-Tec 33 commission.
Both pleased to give me more voluntary commissions and services. Great results.

Hi Guys
I'm new to the forum and new to the gas industry.

Is there anyone in Central Scotland willing to take me out on some jobs. I've been out on around 20 jobs so far but looking for as much experience as possible.

I'll quite happily travel to Yorkshire and spend a few days there if it gets me the experience.

Thanks

Kenny
