I wish to thank the boiler guy for disconnecting Hive for me from the combi boiler. You did a wonderful job of cutting off the heating bit, so now I cannot heat the house but still have lovely hot water coming out of the taps, So luckily I have moved my 76-year-old father out of the house. Turns out the boiler guy is unable to come out till January if I am lucky. No one will touch it now. Sum1 said it needs relinking whatever that means.
Does anyone have any advice please

Is any of the Hive part left behind? Can you post a photo of the front of your boiler?
No, the Hive has gone completely, I am very sorry I am not able to show a photo of my boiler as I am away from it at the moment, however, I found these pics on the web which are exactly the same as mine. Appreciate your reply thanks

Make sure that the timer is set to constant and the heating and hot water selector switch are correct, if it doesn’t work after that, the item need a link putting in on the pcb inside for it to work. Do not do this yourself as it needs checking for safety afterwards.

I take it there’s none of the wiring left from the Hive?
Hi, no nothing left, to put into context the broadband was stopped as it wasn't being used anymore. So no need for Hive especially as my Dad wasn't there that often. Anyway the hive wiring has all been removed, I don't think the guy reconnected the link to the main heating . Now there is no prompt from the boiler to switch on the heating. I don't know how big the problem is and how costly it will be to put right. I have been quoted £125 to come have a look at it, so far anyway..

I would speak to the guy who removed it, as its his fault, takes 2 minutes to put the link in, but safety check afterwards takes another 10 give or take. See if he’ll reimburse you for getting someone else.
