Ideal 35 + combi boiler pump overrun

Boiler working fine, heating and hot water perfect, no faults on display, apart from pump overrun coming on when no heat called for. ?? If flow and return was back to front could this possibly cause this?

It will run the pump after heating or hot water has been used

Do you have the hot water on pre-heat by any chance?

Yeh the pre heat switch on left hand side of fascia make sure thats off, then check to see if still occurs

If no call for heat then pipes mixed wouldnt cause unless dripping tap, bad leak on hw or faulty controls

If not on pre-heat then turn a cold tap on and off see if the boiler does anything?

Could be pcb issue,as I've had software interruption/fails and pump runs,prob pre heat but just a thought

Reason I mention turning cold tap on and off is to check for a dead leg/ air pocket in the pipework
