My Ideal Classic FF260 boiler has stopped firing up from the room thermostat but it seems to work fine from the hot water tank thermostat. The room thermostat clicks but still nothing happens. Any suggestions as to what could be wrong?
Cheers,
Dave.

Is that the 3 way valve? If so I've had the actuator off and the valve moves fine. The actuator also seems to move ok I think.
When I switch the boiler off at mains the valve moves fully to one postion. When I turn switch back on I've had the room stat right down and turned up the tank thermostat. The boiler then kicks in. If I turn switch back off and turn the tank thermostat down and the room thermostat up it moves fully to the other direction but the boiler does not kick in. Any ideas what this might be?
Cheers,
Dave

I think I've figured it out! The diverter valve actuator, although it had been turning one of the micro switches inside doesn't make the little click and seems to have no continuity throught it. It's a Drayton MA1 Mid position actuator. Do I have to get the same actuator to replace it or will I be able to use any make?
