Hi

Have to go to a breakdown which is a Ideal Classic Model NF50 I think. The customer has said that there is low hot water pressure. First breakdown for me.

Am trying to find out before I go, if this has a cold water filer, and exactly where it is?

Can't find anything in MI.

Help appreciated.

Ideal classic is a normal boiler, fitted to a system with a cylinder,(obviously could co rads only if no cylinder)you can get a pressurisation kit for it that sits on top
So hot water if not on a unvented cylinder ,could be just air locked or customer not used to tank feed, maybe it is pumped and pump not working
Just walk in and check system first and get your bearings, if customer gets on your back ,as they do within two minutes of walking in, just explain need 5 mins just to check system after they have explained exactly what the problem is through the woffle
Just take your time, do not be rushed

imho

this is an old boiler, more than likely as said air lock,or a faulty tap, worth asking if any work done recently,if he,s a diyer ,could of snapped gate valve on cold fill to clylinder, let them do the talking, you try and make sense of it ,enjoy!
