To all those time served. Any chance anyone has the manual for an ideal E type rs100 Gc no 41/399/67. trying to identify if the gas valve is still available. Haven't been to see the boiler yet but was given the details by the customer over the phone. The gas valve is a 24 volt Honeywell (V88 00A 1006 2).
I have manuals for an Ideal E type RS 80
The only info I can find through Knav on parts center page is for an ideal rs100N with different GC# and parts list states 240v gas valve?

Could you change it for a honywell V8600 24v with a honywell pilot supply kit? I've done it on a few old warmair's in the past. You use to be able to get a 24v operator head for those valves too, if that's all that's wrong with it. not sure if they're still available TBH :)

Thanks diamondgas will explore that as an option. I always find it strange how amongst the various instruction websites and parts lists other models in the e type series are readily available but cant find any reference to this particular rs100 the only ones I have come across are E type rs100n's with different gas council numbers.
How does your solution sit with the regs is it classed as a legitimate and permissible alteration from original mi specs as the boiler is now so old, or is it one of those grey areas that will bring a tirade of differing opinions and quoted regs?
From the illustration in the e type rs80 mi's I believe this may be the current replacement valve but not sure

Thanks ermintrude may well give them a call. Will wait till I have had eyes on the actual beast and know the valve is indeed at fault.

It's a gas valve! "shrug".... Regulates the flow of gas to maintain the required burner pressure for the appliance... Fit it, gas rate it to make sure it's doing what it's suppose to! I didn't know that there was a regulation that states you HAVE TO use the manufacturers original part? I'd say always work safe and know your own limitations. If there's something you're not confident with doing then better off not doing it IMHO. The valve you show the picture of, by-the-way, looks like a closer match yeh?

No doubt the righteous come gas police on here will have something to say after this post :)
