I came across an ideal I mini mounted on a sheet of MDF board I thought this was unacceptable but upon looking in the manual it says it's fine has anyone else come across this before.
 
A lot of standard efficiency boilers out there state it can be mounted on combustible material. Thats why we must check MI's to keep our-self's right.
 
most new boilers are described as cold case now when you look at the comstruction the combustion chambers are now independent of the casing and bathed in cold air from the incoming air
were actually drawing cold air in rather than expelling the hot in modern designs plus the flue gasses are cooler
