Ideal icos h6 fault

Ideal icos he 15 in conjunction with a tribune unvented cylinder on a s plan ,tenant says they get heating and hot water but
then boiler starts banging ( overheating) then h6 fault appears what is h 6 nothing in book going to have a look tomorrow sounds like there's a problem with pump overrun ! Any one had this problem cheers

By pass missing over heat is. - - on icos? Pump is a common one. Sounds like it's an issue ?

Blocked condensate mate.

Overheat. ? Blocked conny is lock out isn't it? L F or h f?

I've had H6 as blocked condensate

Also had it as jumpers in wrong position on pcb
Or faulty reset button on control board

I was at this boiler last week lf problem , it was the usual suspects the ignition electrodes and ionisation ,also cleaned trap and sump ,can't remember if it had a bypass on expect it has as it's one of those pre piped cylinders ,is h6 overheat ?

I would go for cond pipe as well, be careful when you release the sump cover it could be full.
Defo check the 'waste end' of the cond pipe, I have had a few terminating at sink waste pipe absolutely full of gunk.

Quick way to check is pull condensate hose off pipe and put a piece in with an elbow and blow up it. If you can't its blocked
