Ideal Icos HE12 Boiler Problem

Hi There

I have just found out that my boiler will NOT turn on.
When i go to switch the boiler on from the switch it wont come on.

The boiler is 6 years old, i remember replacing what i think is the PCB where you switch it on from.

Does any one know where i can get hold of a new board?

Also i have managed to turn on the hot water from within the airing cupboard, by switching it to manual, but how can i get the heating to work?

I dont know anything about central heating at all.

Any help?

You have prob got the hot water working off an immersion. Your going to need an enginner to attend to check other components. There are other parts that can cause failures on these boilers

What's your location. Maybe one of us can come around and help

Yeah ive managed to get the hot water on by the immersion, will that not work the heating aswell?

No it won't work the heating. Have a warm bath before bed. You won't feel the cold. Lol

Hi I have a Ideal boiler Icos HE12 that first the central heating was playing up I turn on sometimes and now its totally not responding at all, I thought it was the programmer is the problem so I did replaced it but no luck... hot water is working fine...any idea what is the problem? Best to call a local gas safe engineer....don't try and fix yourself

As Rpm says register , but it sounds like you may have a problem with your stat or zone valve
