As above poster stated this sounds to me like a choked diverter valve cartridge. I find it's the most common fault on the isars along with the knackered pcb's. Personally I replace the cartridge on all occasions, this guarantees a definate fix as opposed to just cleaning the cartridge.
Cheapest way to replace.... This boiler has the same diverter valve as the 'baxi bahama', ideal don't sell the cartridge on it's own(they sell the complete diverter valve at greater expense) as a spare however baxi do, so the best way to go about it is phone baxi and get their part no. For the 'diverter valve cartridge' for the 'baxi bahama', order this part, it comes with a key to remove old cartridge and fit new cartridge. Incase u are worried about buying baxi parts for an ideal boiler, please don't be, they are both the exact same 'honeywell' diverter valves. One company is selling u the spare u need(baxi) and the other company is selling u the complete valve in order to get the bit u need(ideal). I know which company I trust more
