anyone know if you can still get the flues for these heaps of crap. customer is wanting boiler moved from bedroom into old airing cupboard and will need a vertical flue installing. fingers crossed i cant but thought i would check with you guys?

I got one for an Icos a few weeks ago. Im sure Plumbcenter said it was the same flue for the Icos and Isar. Mine was horizontal though. Sure Ideal would tell you, their tech line seems quite helpful and easy to get through to.

But as you say.... fingers crossed! :)

Found one :)

i love the way when you open the boiler up all components look like they have been thrown in especially pcb.

Surely this Isar has been like every other one ever made a heap of **** why a customer would want to keep it is beyond me.

The installation costs of a new boiler are roughly the same as if you move an old one, (if not more) so they only have to pay difference of a new boiler, and with the warranties on offer now, probably pay for itself in 12 months if it's a typical Isar!!!!!

If you move it you will be forever more pestered with calls saying it worked fine B4 YOU moved it, just tell them it doesn't comply with new regs and quote for new boiler

Hero is a word often overused.
If you pull this off - you can become a genuine hero.
We are all behind you on this.

Ive still got a few ISARS on my books. but I wouldn't even consider moving one

convinced customer to go with replacement. just said couldnt guarantee any damage to boiler trying to remove and relocate (mind you i did say all i would need to try and remove is my sds drill with chisel attachment on hammer action)

fitting new vogue. bad job just turned into a great job. you guys convinced me not to try moving it (mind you didnt take much)

no you were going to allow me to try and move the boiler, think you just liked the thought of someone trying to move an isar. how do you sleep at night dancinplumba?
was thinking of you getting two jobs out of it, one to move it then one to replace it ;-)
