Hi guys,

As it says above, looking for some advice from ideal boiler specialists as I havnt got much experience on these boilers, not many in my area.
Upon firing it up, the front case rattled, I know its explosive ignition but just wanted to confirm if there is anything else I could check on. I will change the coat hanger electrodes tomorrow. Could there be any other things to look at?
thanks

Yep agree with Ian , condensate traps are major headaches on these, check condensate pipe is clear . Done 2 already this week lol.

Also take the sump cover off and clean out cos the condense hole gets choked with all the ally rot.

Every time I've had this problem the condensate holes been blocked in the sump

In my experience it is usually bent damaged electrodes in most cases followed by blocked condi.
If electrodes look dodgy at all change them and as mentioned clean sump and pour couple large jugs water down through top heat exchanger and make sure running freely away through condi.

Thanks for the sound advice guys. Going there next week, rented place tenant away for a while. will post the outcome.:D

had one once in a HA property, i was not there to do gas work but the tennant said "should there be a flame coming out the flue terminal when the boiler fires up" it was an isar.

i capped the meter and phoned the HA, i found out later it took them 4 days to attend :( 3 cold kids and a very angry dad upset with me for protecting them.
