Hi all, we have an Ideal Logic Plus which was previously working with an RF mechanical clock/thermostat. Unfortunately the clock was dropped before Xmas so we decided to replace with something more modern. We got a salus and wired that up, nothing worked . We then got the gas engineer in who fetched and esi external thermostat and receiver and again nothing is working. The read out on the display says winter mode, room stat off. Gas engineer has made every excuse possible not to come back. As far as we know there should be just two wires going into the 2 roomstat terminals in the boiler, previous there was a link wire between the 2 when the old mechanical stat was working. Also the gas engineer removed the old ideal receiver panel on the front of the boiler and blanked off. Any help greatfully appreciated thank you

Best he’s left / hasn’t got the plug through

He’s removed the mechanical clock on the boiler and hasn’t put it back to factory

Sorry to say time to get a new gas engineer as you need to be qualified to work inside the case of the boiler

Ok thanks he is qualified though but spent about 3 hours fiddling around with it. I have actually ordered the Ideal digital RF stat, receiver just goes into a connector, but will use my usual gas engineer to do it. Going to leave this guy negative feedback on mybuilder

If you have already tried to install a new stat and failed he may not be fully at fault here.
