Been to an Ideal Logic Heat 12, pressurised system, been installed 3 years, unvented hot water.

When I first went to it the boiler was turned off at the spur, when I turned it on fan starts up pretty much straight away, and just continuously stays on. The boiler is throwing up a F D and once an F A fault. Pump sounds ok, even with the zone valves in manual it still displays Fd.

Any one had any experience with this fault.

Its looking like a flow issue. Is the thermostatic valves open and is there a bypass fitted on the system? I was at an ideal logic fault other day and the problem was simply that wasn't a bypass and because room temp was warm the Thermos were closing and nowhere for heating water to travel. You may have furred up pipes also. What colour is water coming out of pump bleed screw?

Bypass installed, TRvs all opened, clean water in the system.

Think circulation. Sufficient flow? Pump working well and speed set correctly? Boiler flow switch stuck? Not sure whether the logic has a flow switch?

Valves at boiler or pump(not trying to be insulting, I've done it myself)

Yeah there is a flow sensor, I wonder if you can bypass it, I'll try that.
