Hi , you all have probably seen this problem but as im new to this i cannot seem to find the solution.
We have an Ideal Logic 30 Combi boiler 4 years old and we are having to top up using the filling loop almost every other day. My boiler engineer assures me its not the boiler at fault although he hasnt visited as he really cant be bothered or too busy! so i need to confirm if there is a leak in the central heating pipes somewhere. We cannot find any signs of pipes leaking in the house at all but another plumber suggested somehow isolating the boiler (using the filling loop ? )increasing the water pressure to 4 or 5 bar (as over 3 bar pressure the boiler valve will dump ?) and listening for any leakage in the house. Well im a carpenter so that all went over my head as its not wood related. so what does he mean , can i check that its the pipe system leaking and not the boiler by somehow isolating the boiler ? Many thanks , sorry for the poor description ! KenE
