Got a pilot thats very tall, yellow and loose flame.

Lack of primary air? Blockage somewhere?
Not worked on these before

Have turned the boiler off as when main burner fires its messing with the other flames, a bit of impingement and theres a bit of chilling occuring.

blocked def as the pilot is searching for air so extending and sounds like the burners are blocked as well
needs a thorough service and then recheck

mexicos, are a lovely eay boiler to fix, problem is theres just so many different models, exactly which one do you have. could be a blockage - replace the injector in the pilot. or could just be gas pressures!

Gave it a thourough clean all throughout, checked gas rate. All good.

Adjusted the gas weep to pilot as was little on the optimistic side,.
