is it dumping down the flow when run to dhw?if so diverter valve does it run normal with combustion door off?if so airswitch, tubes or venturies

flame never goes out its not the diverter valve i checked this. when you run the tap slower the water gets nice and hot.the flame is nice and blue no lift off or anything

if this was a plate heat then whys it still running? the boiler has to disapate its heat somewhere, fair enough if it was shutting down does the ideal have a flow group with the black motor on top?

if by black motor you mean diverter valve then yes on top of brass body. the wtaer does get hot but goes warm then hot. ideal reckon if the water gets hot when the tap is ran slower the heat exchanger at fault restrictionin flow of water. do you think the bypass on boiler could be at fault.

could be but it would be strange you can get bypass non return valves as a spare unlikely to be the actual pipe its self but i have never seen this part play up if you remove the circlip on the black motor and take it out is there any water on the motor spindle or diverter bush?a lot of manufactors use this set up now its not very reliable,i would try cleaning the plate heat with vinegar if ideal say its that

took the motor off yesterday and there was no sign of any water so guess this is ok have tried cleaning it used a jet wash as it unlikely to be scale maybe a bit of debris from the heating system but seemed to be reasonably clean.

right next thing to try push the spindle assembly down it should not be tight

been to this again today and im at my wits end replaced the dhw heat exchanger its now better but not great the only thing left is to replace the bypass valve the diverter valve is ok and the bypass pipe is not blocked i took the diverter valve out and everything seems to be ok
any other ideas would be muchly appreciated

ideal say ther is nothing else it can be:(
