Look at this belter , its a safe bet the ***head who designed this has never fitted a bath in his life .

Yep end up using a deep seal trap (75mm and a small 10mm extension ) normally to get past them if you can get away with the height
 
Bit of uni strut might get you out of trouble as it’s strong but thin
 
Plastic baths are uck,bend deflect ..move and seperate from the tiles whatever you do.pressed steel all the way I replaced all the baths in my gaffs with pressed steel ...7 in total never looked back
...make sure no metal plugs tho...just rubber ones
