Hi, can anyone identify these taps? I need to replace the washers on them but am having trouble taking the heads off. I am not sure if you can pull the heads off or they are screwed down. It feels like it might pull off but I am worried about damaging them.

Any help gratefully received

Paul

I seem to recall the top metal disc above the brass bit on the handle unscrews

I think paulplumb is right they unscrew. I replaced some recently. I'm think they are bristan taps if my memory serves

ideal caradon 'millenium' taps range with plastic splines in the head.

you can get replacements.

errr, yeh, they should just pull off, but the plastic might break if there old!.

Ideal Standard do taps like that & the round chrome top bit screws off to reveal a tapered headed brass screw that holds the head tight. But they tend to be ceramic disc quarter turn works.
