Hi all.

First post here.

Were looking to fit a new heat only boiler - plumbers asked what type of tank is in the loft.

So far I've figured out its called a Fortic tank, as it has a smaller tank built on top and built in immersion element.

Plumbers said it may still be Primatic. Is there a way to check for this?

The existing setup is a Baxi back boiler.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Tell them to stop being so lazy and get a pair of steps out to check if they are there for a price-up! :) If they then can't tell what type it is, you may ask them to leave..........

Indirect, direct, or primatic. It's way overdue for replacement.
If you only have one bathroom, which is about right for a fortic. Then a COMBI is a better option.
If you have more than one, then replace the cylinder completely.
