Hi, I need to turn the hot and cold water off to fix a lever tap in my bathroom, if I turn the stopcock off do I need to turn the combi boiler off as well.

You should not need to turn the boiler off when you turn the stopcock off. If you are repairing the bathroom basin tap then why not take the opportunity to add issolation valves to the hot and cold supplys to the tap. This will make future lever tap repair or replacement far simpler as you will be able to turn the water off below the tap and kerp the water to the rest of the house on.

I don't know, if i'm draining the hot to do work on it I always turn the boiler off.

On a non combi boiler I would agree but as Op says its a combi, with the main off there will be no hot water or cold and as the boiler cant try and heat a plate to plate without flow from the main I cant see a problem but Istand to be corrected.

cant see a issue either

I turn combis off when draining the central heating.

Heard Worcester Bosch SI horror stories

I leave water on and just switch DCW inlet off on combi if it's just the hot tap.

I try to avoid turning off dcw on combi because it can start leaking and open a can of worms imo
