Friends

Can you assist please?

How much, ballpark figure, do you charge to supply & fit:-

1), New emmersion to copper tank?

2). 2 new emmersions to megaflow?

When I have some prices I'll tell you why!!!!

Regards to all.

re: immersion heater - supply & fit

All depends on looking at the job.

I know it cost me 74+vat for 1 heatrae sadia immersion for unvented cylinder.

SimonG = 100% correcr!!!

Had a call from a chap who wanted the emmersions changed, sent a plumber, I went also, he said both were needed, approx £70 + VAT each and labour, went to the customer, he said, blimey, I wont pay anymore than £120!!!!!! We said good luck and left (swiftly), he called again, told him was not interested as i feared being messed around, just had a txt from him, pleading to do the job for the quote as other have quoted him £150 more than we said!!!!

Greedy customers,, we all live and learn!!!! He certainly has.

Depends,

Can take 10 minutes or an age,

Valves don't work, age of cylinder, risk of knackering it, if a customer asks me I always look first and assess the situation, so anywhere between initial charge + parts up to new cylinder.

Megaflow, I've had to do a course to work on them so will charge a bit more + parts.

Again varies, depending on how difficult job is. Can I get at them.

Did an thermostat but had re-wire it, so looked at about £70, had to buy heat resistant cable not cheap.......

If you do it sus the bloke out not because he's greedy but you may struggle getting the money. If you hit a problem and need more money, he ain't going to wear it!

Remember the difference between a quote and an estimate.....
