Hi folks

I have been having some issues with my immersion heater thermostat, the small reset button on the top of the thermostat itself keeps popping up when the immersion has been on a while. We don't have the immersion on for long before this happens sometimes maybe after an hour it will pop up. The thermostat on the immersion is set at 60 degrees so its not as if the temp is too high and causing this to 'trip'. It was a newly fitted thermostat just last year so it shouldn't be defective in any way??

Has anybody any thoughts on what the cause could be or do i need to just try buying a new one??

Thanks in advance for any help

Just replace the thermostat. I know it is a pain but I have found the quality of immersion heaters and their ancillaries very poor recently.

Best way to rule it out and they are not that expensive.
