Just been in plumbfix an there are about 15 different immersions to choose from? Is there a great difference? I know there are ones for hard or soft water and there are different metal ones but will I go far wrong just using a copper immersion for a copper cylinder??

I wouldn't get the cheapest one but make sure it has the over heat cut off on.

Depends how hard the water is. They all do the same job. Just some last longer than others so if you want a bit repeat work in a couple of years, stick in a cheap one

Incalloy usually last longer and are not much more expensive.
