Indirect Hot Water Cylinder

i have a client with a vented indirect hot water cylinder.
below the gate valve on the cold feed from the header tank, is a tee which is the cold feed to shower pump for the shower mixer.
can anyone tell me if this acceptable practice?
i have read that it wouldn't be allowed on a direct hot water cylinder.

ideally should be off tank,ie own feed,
but if its a 22mm existing feed probably cope with demand,then agian depends on size of tank,flow rate of pump

Hi. Amongst other thing it will reduce the available head that is responsible to deliver the hot water to mixer / taps. Plus the cylinder could, if gate valve were to be turned off or cistern emptied and pump was drawing water. Be drained, which if being heated via a immersion heater, create a dangerous situation. Its far from good practice.
