Evening All,

Today I encountered one of filthiest central heating systems I've ever seen. It set me thinking that if inhibitor needs replacing regularly should I not drain down, flush and add inhibitor to my customers' systems every three years? Do any of you guys do that? I can't imagine many of my customers wanting the expense.

No I don’t.
Like you say they won’t want to pay for it but I believe water testing is becoming a part of boiler servicing and warranty’s will start to be void when manufacturers arrive at a faulty boiler and test the water first.

Nope as tbh unless they have a leak and constantly topping it up the water quality should change (sealed system)

The inhibitor manufacturers say that their products degrade over time and are effectively useless after three years. I agree that may not be an issue in a good sealed system but vented?
