Hello all,

I am thinking of purchasing a steam shower unit for my wife, which converts an existing shower into a steam shower, it is a new shower system and it looks good to me and I was wondering has anybody installed one before. This is where the product is
Steam showers, Sunshowers & Spray tanning they have a good install video, if anyone has any feedback, it would be much appreciated.

thanks.

That looks good, I have fitted one of these [DLMURL="http://www.tylo.com/product.aspx?f_id=23350"]Start - Welcome to Tylö - Sauna, steam bath and steam shower manufacture[/DLMURL] a steam generator to a posh designer bathroom a couple of years ago, basically it squirts steam into a shower area a low level through a nozzle (with guard) and a temp snsor on the wall regulates heat/steam. You have to be careful with extraction and ventilation as it can upset the balance and all steam produced just lost to outside!

Although a little late on this thread, This option is certainly growing in trend over the all in one self-contained cabins, really popular in the USA and Scandinavian countries and now increasing in the UK.

Installing a Steam Setup into an existing shower, although a fair bit more work, will give you more options with design and shower fixtures you can use.

There is a massive difference in price between brands, so be sure to do some home work first, as with the increase in popularity, some cheaper brands are appearing in the market place that can save you a few £££ over the established brands like Mr Steam.
