I have just bought a new shower enclosure with a manual mixer. Can I connect mains cold water to the mixer and pumped hot water from the cylinder.???????
The cold water pressure is very good but the hot pressure is average. The hot tank is about 15 inches above where i propose to sit the single pump

You first need to read the spec on the mixer to ascertain what max bar pressure it can take. I would then advise fitting a pressure reducing valve on the cold side to give you equal supply pressures and prevent problems.

If your cold water tank is large enough you can fit a cold feed from it to the shower so its gravity and not mains. You also need to look carefully at how you install the pump as most prefer a flange to be fitted to the cylinder, although I've seen plenty where they are just teed off the top and they work fine.

Thanks I will try to find out what pressure the RAYO manual shower mixer will take, it has not been delivered yet.I don't think the cold water tank is big enough to feed both the hot water tank and a shower pump. I have seen Stuart turner single pumps for about £100 with 1.5 bar, i assume that would be ok with a pressure reducing valve on the cold supply.
Thank You
