Electric shower (power shower? - no external pump, hot and cold feed go into it, both in 15mm)

It's situated right next to cylinder (they share a thin wall.)

Customer wants shower cubicle and tray removed and bath installed instead - shower to remain on wall above bath.

Where should I take the feeds for bath taps? Can I tee into existing shower feeds or would this be a no-go on account of the shower then no longer having dedicated feeds?

Thanks

If the cylinder is right next door then get your feeds to the bath from there. Bring a new feed down from the CWS tank if she wants a bath deck filler, or take it off the cold mains if seperate taps.

You can tee the hot water from the vertical drop which feeds the other hot water draw offs, you only need to tee off the horizontal section straight off the cylinder with a downward facing tee for power showers/pumps.

Ah ok. It's not ok to tee of the cold-feed to the cylinder for the cold though is it? Because that's actually where the cold feed to the shower is already taken. Do you think I should warn them that should be changed too?

Yes needs changed cylinder needs it's own feed no draw off points off it take a separate cold

You cannot take a tee from the cold feed to the cylinder, you either take an independant supply from the CWS tank to the bath tap, or take it from the cold mains if your not using a mixer.

A cylinder can implode if the cold feed or vent is blocked & hot water is drawn off. Yes the shower feed needs to be taken from the CWS tank, point out it is wrongly installed at the moment. Hot water from the cylinder is drawn from the top of the cylinder as you know, should the CWS tank run dry the cylinder will still be full to the draw off point leving the element emersed under water. Should a cold water feed be tee'd off of the cold water feed to the cylinder & the CWS tank runs dry, the cylinder will be drained leaving the element exposed & danger of blowing!
