Is there much call for insulating central heating pipes underneath a downstairs floor?

There's not an awful lot of clearance to actually get the grey foam type around the pipe, so if I must, then my options are quite limited.

If under floor is vented then it's same as being outside! Even plastic needs lagging, IMHO :)

Climaflex seems to get more and more expensive (or maybe i'm just getting older)

I once met an insulation company lorry driver at a snack bar and bought 4 boxes for £80 (that is all the cash i had on me). Wish i could meet him again:smile:

Just went to help a guy out with a quote .. 2 1/2" Iron to be lagged!! Thankfully he's doing the pricing :) How come it costs so much yet you'll get ziltch if you weigh it in? :)

B and poo seem to be the cheapest place for insulation at the moment. Especially if you've got a trade point card.
