Hello guys, going to install my 1st Intergas boiler next week, (LPG) any tips & advise, going on one of their training days end of Feb.

Make sure you order the correct flue. You've got a choice of straight or offset. If it's an OV you have to use the offset (or vertical).

the expansion vessel (if you want one??) is extra, either with the back jig or a separate unit.
you will need the washer thing for the lpg, I think from memory of the course it just fits in under the gas valve.

Thanks, ordered the EV with fixing jig and the conversion kit, have you had any issues with it ? and how does it compare for performance

Ring them up, get your local reps number and say you're booked in on the course but you're installing one now, they will bump you up to the 5 year warrenty till your training day.

take care when tightening up the valves on the ch return dont stress the pipework or you could be looking for a leak. If the cold main is particularly high pressure use a prv or youll get issues of the boiler cycling on when taps are used. Treat the front cover with care, some ham fisted idjits seem to manage to break off the corners occassionally. otherwise, following the instructions and dont wire the room stat into the low voltage side if its mains fed, seen this a few times, morons!!!

I don't do LPG. but I do remember on the course they were saying for whatever reason they a give much better return on gas use than other brands??
there was another guy on the course that did fit LPG, he confirmed that was the case, how true/why/how???

as you have a sealed system don't forget to bleed through the air vent on the top left of the boiler
(it is not aav)
do this several times whilst getting the system refilled and loosing any trapped air.

Condenses 100% of the time.

Condenses 100% of the time.

that's very true, but also is the case with natural gas.
It was something else.
they were reconing the intergas just performed so much better than others with LPG
not just the few percent from the extra condensing!

Remember lpg costs much more than natural gas so the saving will be more noticeable :)

Must be a very large and complex one to condense when the cooling fluid is over 65c almost impossible at 82c as must not enough delta t with a fan flue. Air moves to fast to loose latent heat.

Sometimes hairs on new burner touch electrodes an throw a 5 fault. Easy fix.
Sometimes condensation forms on outside of heat ex and drips on pump body. If you see this when you do service, get a non return flap for flue outlet.

Condense on hot water. Virtually zero standing losses. Copper waterways. :)

if you stick one in the attic, fit an aav instead of the bleed valve and lifes easier.

Check the domestic connections inside the boiler to, first one I ever fit they were loose, commission in service mode spanner button and + & -
