Hi just fitted a Intergas system boiler, very good boiler ! but what a crap mounting jig, condense trap needs to be made better, Think Intergas need to sort out this Jig, lets the boiler down, Who has had a problem with this Jig ???

I prefer the robo kit option tbh.

but i haven't had issues with the jig?

No problems with jig either. Robokit better solution in the long term though.

It's not great and lacks any options for fixing holes. Most of them I've done with the jig the expansion vessel has been ready to fall out as its bent.

Usuable though and should be better when they put the vessel in the boiler.

they dont use Victorian engineering techniques nowadays. Re pipework, make sure you dont put it together with the pipes under stress or your boiler will start to creak as time goes by, make sure theres a bit of give in the pipe runs.

Happy to agree its not the best.
drop the boiler on before doing pipework imho.

Nostrum are they changing the design?

The rep said they were looking to ditch the jig and get an expansion vessel in the boiler vaillant style so the combi will actually be quite a compact unit.

Not sure how they will approach it or when or even if, just what I've been told.

secret bee says the expn vessel will be hinged onto the front of the burner somehow, cant see how myself and the flue may be made central to remove the need for the offset.
We wait with baited breath.

Yeah apparently that's how it was originally with the duct going up the back of the hex, so they are looking to return it to this design which frees up the front for the vessel.

The worst part about the jig is the fact it it longer than the boiler and with all the valves it looks a bit of a pigs ear so hopefully this new design should solve a lot of problems.

I think that's the HRE eco with the modulating pump and over inflated price tag.

Use the robo kit 9 times out of 10. The rear jigs are crap, really flimsy and the valve plate is a pain to fix as well sometimes! The boiler is quite old now so is in need of an update. Have heard a few rumours about a central flue and built in exp vessel.

Totally agree the jig is crap ! whatever possessed them to make something this substandard, and spoil a very good boiler, sort of thing that would put you off using this boiler. hopefully new model will sort this out.

Heard in the week that they will update the look by changing the black bit where all the controls are to white, to keep it looking fresh?

needs a complete face lift imho, could make it look nice if they wanted to but just seems that they no its worked the last 18 odd years and aren't going to change it if it isn't broken!!

The thing is its a dutch company, like atag.
They don't care that we want a pretty looking boiler
the uk offices scream at the head offices and get told it works.

we are pretty much the only country who have a pretty boiler as a requirment.
Also our boilers tend to be a downscaled version of the european version.

compare uk vaillants with the german ones :)

doing a couple of atag courses one in may and one in june, looking forward to it.

Nice boilers, they dish the warranty work out to you aswell.

just had my first quote accepted for installing one with weather comp

tbh want to fit the Q51C to the next person who complains that they don't have good hot water!!
