Hi All

I appreciate that I have asked this before, but the market moves on.

I was talking to Intergas today - their new Sales Director is an old friend of mine, but that wouldnt stop him trying to stitch me up on price if he could get away with it.

If anyone is able to help me out with the price that they pay for Intergas products, that would be really helpful - either here in this thread, or via PM if you prefer.

Its most helpful if you can indicate:

Which range you are talking about, ECO-RF, Compact HRE or the new Rapide.
Which output
Whether combi, system or Heat Only
What's included - flue (what sort?) fixing kit etc
Whether the price includes VAT or not.
If you have been on their training course

Many thanks

Ray

We haven't fitted one for a long time. I've been put off by their support (or lack of)

Could you expand a bit on this Sam? Is it the rep thats letting you down, or technical support, or the in-warranty guys?

Is that the ECO-RF or the HRE Markfxy ? It can't be rapide because the model numbers aren't right.

The company as a whole is so dysfunctional it's frustrating. The rep is all chummy and keen to impress for the first few weeks, then you can never get hold of him. It took months trying to arrange training then months more getting P5 installer sorted. They sent out the wrong LPG kit then took weeks to send out the correct one. I always got the impression I should be grateful I was fitting their boilers as opposed to them valuing me as a customer.

Once the vogue came out I had no real reason to spec an Intergas. I would still use one in the right circumstance but they aren't the neatest boiler to fit, so why struggle?

What's the rapide, can't find any information on it?

Its a new boiler, I'm not sure they have officially launched it yet. It has the same hex but integral expansion and centre flue.

Fitted a couple, good boiler but let down by back up, had same problem with them sending wrong LPG kit (3 Times), bulky unit with expansion kit , this does let down what could be a very good boiler, Will consider looking at new version if more compact,

The power of facebook, eh Raymondo? :D

I'll post up the price list from A10 boilers this evening when I get back home...

Yes I'm interested in seeing this new boiler, there was word of this last year from the rep. I still think they will struggle if the warranty isn't extended though. 10 years is close to becoming the normal unfortunately.

They have a 10 yr warranty coming out on the Eco-RF range, and they are upgrading the warranty to 7 years on the HRE models if you go on their training course. The new Rapid model is at a lower price point, and comes with 3 yrs standard, upgradeable to 7yrs at a price.

Thanks Mas. I have an A10 list - all I really need to know is whether they stick to it, or if they discount from it for regulars. It looks like a net price list, but its always worth checking. :)

Is that the same address that we sent the special order Thai lady-boys to? The ones with the goats, the lubricant and the inflatable geese?

No! I don't want anyone knowing I've got biscuits and sweets coming!

The list price is what I get Ray. I don't know if they discount further for higher volumes or a select few but as far as I know everyone is on the same terms.

Fair play to them. Much the same approach as us.
