Hi all,

Would appreciate some advice. Have been running my own business for 3 years now and would call myself a competent plumber. I have an Mechanical engineering degree with thermofluids so should be fine on the theory side of gas. Other than my C&G 6129 I have no other plumbing qualifications. I am well read and keep up to date with Building Regulations etc.

I have seen the above course at a local college - 4 blocks of 1 week full time plus 70 hours (yes hours) portfolio working for a gas fitter. This then gets you to the stage that you can take your assessments.

Cost including ACS assessments I would need is £1,800. Seems too good to be true - I was under the impression training as a gas fitter took years.

Any advice/experiences?
