hello new member qualified last june city and guilds 3yrs lacking tools experience. i recently changed a old toilet flush for a new turbo flush and advised customer to fit an isololater 1/4 turn. that took me 2hrs. customer trial flushed toilet after i'd flushed it about 6 times only to here a loud vibration not a whistle, i told customer not a problem i will strip float valve down( diaphragm type with up and over fill) and go from there. 2hrs later the noise is still there only as valve is partially closed. i then placed my hand on top of cistern lid and noise stopped when cistern was filling. so i placed a rubber washer between up and over fill and lid, no noise when flushed. i showed the customer they were very happy with that.
today customer rings the noise is back he informs me that when they turn hand basin cold tap on when noisy flush appears it stops and that it has happened before which explains the rubber washer in bottom of cistern when i changed the flush.
can someone please help very annoying.
