Hi Guys and gals!

can you please help? I have an intermittent hot water supply from my hot taps. I tried to run a bath last night and nothing. Rang the plumber, didn't bother to call me back. This morning I have hot water?. i turned the tap on very slowly, and it came out. Could it be a water pressure problem in the boiler, a blockage somewhere?.

any help would be greatly appreciated

thank you

Georgia

issue with hot tap

hello everyone

i posted a link about a problem with a hot tap on my bath, forgot to say that also if i turn the tap on too much there is alot of 'clanging' noise and water just stays luke warm, any ideas?

thank you :)

Your taps need stripping and rebuilding. Sounds like the seat is on end of thread. It's not on on new cook and Lewis stuff or old ones that have been reseated? Did all your other taps work ok?

hello

thank you so much for your speedy reply, one other doesn't work in the bathroom, i forgot to mention that when i turn the hot water bath tap on too much there is a 'clanging' noise and the water is only luke warm.

thank you so much :)

When you turn on the hot tap and the water is only luke warm check to see if any of the other pipes from the combi get hot. If you have the manual for the combi there should be a diagram showing what pipes are what, especially the flow and return pipes for the central heating. It could be the diverter in the combi.
