Hello ... I hope that someone can give me a few pointers on an intermittent problem with my central heating system. It is less than a year old but the installer is on a month's holiday.

It is a sealed system with a magnaclean and was emptied and refilled about a month ago. It has been working okay until a week ago. We now get either hot water or heating intermittently amd sometimes we get neither. The central heating demand is via a room themostat and the hot water is on auto via a timer.

The boiler is always on and I can see the readout on the front. The boiler's temprature is set at 79 degrees centigrade. When the boiler delivers neither hot water nor heating the boiler status code is s30 (no demand). I assume the thermostats are both working fine as the system works intermittently and both cannot be faulty suddenly at the same time.

I have checked the system wiring (outside the boiler) and cannot see any loose connections. The timer seems to be working fine for hot water. The magnaclean was cleaned a month ago and again today, both times we found a bit of rust and debris. The water pressure is around 1.75 bar.

The boiler has also been showing the error code F11 intermittently but that has not been a consistent error. When I read the forums there is no clear indication of the cause of this F11 error. When I reset the boiler from the front, when it does not supply any hot water or heating, the error now seems to reappear more consistently.

I'll be grateful for any tips or pointers. Many thanks.
