Morning chaps. I've just been to look at a "simple" job. Customer is opening a new shop and just wanted their sink moving from existing to new shop. Only problem is they only have mains water, no facilities to heat water (they didn't realise this) so I'm now trying to sort out a heater for them. 15 litre isn't big enough, 30 litre over sink should just about be enough. But for that price I could get a 90l direct invented cylinder. My question is do I still need a 2 port on a direct cylinder? I can't see that I do as it'll just be off immersion and will still have a t&p valve but I am being thick and questioning myself. Surely mains in through multi function valve, hot water out as normal discharge pipework coming from prv and t&p valve will cover it. Or am I right to question myself.

Direct so heated by two immersions....why would you need a 2 port valve? Are you G3 qualified?
I hate to say yes! But yes! I haven't installed a direct unit before though so just wanted to double check but as I thought about it it was stupidly obvious. Thanks for the reply, to be fair i deserved a lot of abuse for that one though

No tappings for any heating circuits so no

Your main difference is the t and p valves so you need to work out your lengths

We all have days where we have brain freeze.

Just think about it.
How is it being heated? Boiler? No it’s direct so why would it have a motorised valve on the primaries?

I would put pressurised cylinder in that situation too.
