Is everyone using press fit?

Depends where I’m working in schools I try and not solder these days it’s too much hassle with fire watch and turning off the fire alarm etc

domestic I normally solder unless it’s a new system then I use mlcp and copper drops / risers in solder or press

I received some prices of Jake at uheat before the lockdown.

If I do more heating then i will probably give it a go, if not I'll stick with solder.

I would use press more if it wasnt so expensive

My 80/20 was only referring to copper work.
Most heating systems I do are hep20 underfloor with copper hot and 10mm copper secondary return.

When called for I will use it , normally copper soldered , hep2o at a push . Kop

I still mainly solder but use press when I can. It is noticeably quicker to use press fittings, also a god send when you can’t get water out of the pipe to solder or in a loft space full of insulation. My main gripe is I don’t like the look of the fittings. A nice clean soldered joint looks 100x better
