Hi,

When replacing a 3 port diverter valve.

Is there a sure way to tell whether just the actuator needs replacing or if whole valve needs replacing? As i am not sure what to buy.

The diverter that needs replacing is a Danfoss HS3.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Casey

Just take the head off and see if you can move the spindle. It's very rare that the body needs changing as well although the HS3 aren't the best quality valves on the market.

changed one two days ago the valve would open for hot water turn heating on and the valve buzzed but did not move fitted new hs3 head no problems since
