Do not know what retail testo are now, check on net

However if you have got a fully newly calibrated unit that you can use for at least a year for £50.00,you are on a winner, you have the unit for less than the cost of calibration and as said found mine, nice and reliable
🙂

imho

I got my Kane KM900 for the princely sum of £50 (including nearly new printer which is over £100 new). Needed new O2 sensor for £100 and calibration was £25. Used an instrument calibration service (far cheaper than getting the manufacturers to do it).

which instrument calibrating service did you use whpes, i thought i had to be done by manufacturer - if i can save a bit of dosh for the pub, please tell me more. ta

Me too! My last £50 calibration was about £75. Wish I could up my quotes like that!

kane only charged me £80-85 calibration and new sensors last year, and replaced the co sensor free 3 months later when it failed (too much CO oops)

All of you needing a recal for your fgas, try these guys.
I bought a recon sprint with all the extras for £200.Their recals are around the £50 mark and they offer avery fast and efficient service.
Talk to Kevin(the boss) or Matthew.
YOu wont be disappointed.

No. Calibration can be done by any certified calibration service. Basically what they do is put the probe in an environment where there is a known amount of each gas and check the readings correspond to the known levels. Say if you put the probe into an environment you know has 10ppm Carbon Monoxide, you are checking that the FGA says the same on its display.
