Hi
I have bought a Reginox Beni kitchen mixer from Plumbase and have unpacked the tap and it appears set for cold on left and hot on right, which must be wrong.

With the logo to front and the grub screw hidden to rear and with tap levers operating by pulling forward (ie exactly as I would expect it to work), the cold tap illustrated by a blue band is to the left. The advert photo shows correctly the blue band to the right but no grub screw visible so it must be the same way as I have it set up.
There appears no way to swap the red and blue bands and I don't want to set it up correctly with cold to right only to have the hot red band on the right. To reverse the tap would mean that the handles would operate by pushing to the rear of the tap rather than pulling forward and that would be cack handed.
I am being asked by manufacturer to send photos etc but would appreciate thoughts as to whether my beliefs are just wrong and if I return it then it will be the same from any other manufacturer, or if there is something wrong with this specific tap?
thank you

The Red and Blue bands are most likely just plastic inserts into the body of the tap.
Remove the handles and swop the bands over.
Thanks and yes I had thought of that but couldn't see a way to get the cover off without prising etc and as is new didn't want to risk damaging and not getting refund. Your post made me look again and I realised that the handle thread had a hex head in the end and was the securing bolt for the handle. Removed the screw and it slid off so I could get to the coloured insert and swap.
So thank you for making me think again.
