Hi,

Simply put I have a customer complaining about her TWIN thermostatic shower and its inability to reduce the temperature of the hot water.

I thought it would be the cartridge or blockages within the filters but she mentioned that it was like that from day one, not sure if she is completely right about that. If she is could this be because of not enough cold water pressure from the CWSC.

Anyway any pointers in the right direction would be great.

Thanks

if it is hot when the shower is set to cold this indicates that from day one the pipes are crossed. simply swap the hot and cold feeds over and it should rectify it.

if it is run on a pumped hot supply and is too hot no matter what the setting try turning the pump down a notch or if not possible then restrict flow from the pump with an in line iso valve

yes i mean a shower pump, or a pumped hot water supply for the whole house, either way if the hot water to the shower is pumped the first thing you should do is turn down the pump and observe. if pump can't be turned down then restrict the flow from the pump by an in line iso.
