I wonder how much damage they caused to Ideals image over the last 5 years
Must of cost ideal bucket loads of cash. Logic appears to have dragged some of their credibility back although have been noticing that there is beginning to be quite a few posts on here regarding faulty logics. Surprised at ideal to be honest as they have supplied loads on the Eco schemes round here which as we all know are being thrown in which will be breaking down for fun in the next couple of years. The boilers will then get slagged off even though it will be down to poor installation.

every boiler will have faults some more than others

i did think the same tho that ideal would end up getting slatted due to ECO scheme

I totally agree, boilers / mechanical things break but you would of thought that the common sense after the isar / icons debacle would have prevailed and they would of concentrated in getting and keeping there reputation. Obviously the power of the pound now has prevailed.

I was working on new builds when those nails were out and they were flying in may go round posting biz cards through the doors tmoz thinking about it :))

Not being a gassy I have no idea about these but my mum has an Isar. It broke down yesterday.
The gas engineer showed me the fault this morning - the ignition thing (a bit like a spark plug) had given in to gravity when red hot and bent to a point where it wasn't igniting.
He said it's common and these boilers were built to fail.
